Make the 'Disability Vote' in Illinois Heard!

as shared by Access Living (CIL) in Chicago

Access Living Friends and Allies:

The voter registration deadline in Illinois is fast approaching! The deadline is October 7and there are several important legislative and statewide races that will need the voice and vote of the disability community in Illinois. You can check if you are registered and see your polling place at http://www.elections.il.gov/votinginformation/RegistrationLookup.aspx.

If you have not yet registered, there are opportunities to do so coming up very soon. Specifically, Access Living will have registrars from our partners at the Jane Addams Senior Caucus (http://seniorcaucus.org) available on-site here at our offices at 115 W Chicago Ave. Come get registered from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 17 here at Access Living!

Again, there are some very important elections that will determine the atmosphere that we will be working in statewide as we continue the fight to fund and improve important disability services. Please make sure you are registered and can participate so we can show that the disability vote in Illinois has power!
