Chicago ADAPT celebrates it's 30th year - Disability Rights Movement History

Chicago ADAPT celebrates it's 30th year of direct action for disability justice and civil rights. activists who were there in 1984 when it all began, stopped inaccessible buses, demanded passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, rattled Jerry Lewis's cage, and the continuing effort to defend our freedom to live where we want to. The film will follow documenting Chicago ADAPT's history and finally some agents of revolution will share anecdotes, stories of attrition and triumphs leading to the current status of our struggle.
