Charlotte has two children: her son Daniel has a developmental disability. As a mom, she's been a student; Daniel has taught her about life, the value of a smile, and how to love. To Charlotte, freedom is ability to love, live, laugh, grow and do things in the community. This is her story.

Why I advocate:
I advocate for Daniel's future so that he will have a full life now and in the future. I advocate for all people with disabilities in Illinois and their families. This is a civil rights movement. We will all benefit when all Illinoisans truly embrace and support diversity.

LifeMyWay means:
That people with disabilities are able to live, laugh, love, learn, and work in the same community with their families and friends.
