Kathy Martinez of Berkeley, California, speaks about the World Institute on Disability, blind and latino cultures within the disability community, and the future of the disability rights movement.

Kathy, who has been blind since birth, has a long history of advocacy within the disability community on such issues as employment and international development. She is the executive director of the World Institute on Disability and, in 2009, was nominated by President Obama for assistant secretary for the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).
