The Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association is hosting their third annual Great Lakes Regional Games, sanctioned by Wheelchair and Ambulatory Sports, USA (WASUSA). This year the games will be held in beautiful Lake Zurich, IL.

The competition is open to ages 6 and up including youth, adults, and injured service members with a physical disability or visual impairment.

There are going to be over 180 participants competing in these events coming from all over the Midwest, including: Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, and Illinois. .

All competitions will take place at
Lake Zurich HS: 300 Church St. Lake Zurich
Foglia YMCA: 1025 Old McHenry Rd. Lake Zurich

The games will offer competition in swimming, track, field, archery, weightlifting, hand cycling, boccia, and table tennis to participants ranging anywhere from beginners to the elite.

This will be a qualifier for the National Junior Disability Championship (NJDC) on:
July 17 – 23, 2011 in Saginaw, Michigan
