Illinois Miss Amazing 2015 Lea Schultz travels to National's at L.A. World Special Olympics in July

PLAINFIELD, IL. – Twenty-one year old Plainfield resident, Lea Schultz, will be representing Illinois as Junior Miss Amazing in the National Miss Amazing event to be held in Los Angeles alongside the World Special Olympics in July.
Schultz was awarded her title at the Illinois Miss Amazing Event April 25 in Naperville. The yearly event is open to girls and women with disabilities ages five and older.

Shultz showcased her talents as a singer by performing “Landslide” originally by Fleetwood Mac and re-released by the Dixie Chicks.

In her spare time, Schultz volunteers at Easter Seals and with the Plainfield Park District honing her office skills and completing computer projects. She is also a member of the Plainfield Aktion Club, sponsored by Plainfield Kiwanis.

Schultz has just completed her final semester of the PSTEP program at Plainfield Academy and has started job hunting.

Six queens were crowned from Illinois and will advance to the National Miss Amazing event in July.
