Camp Wamp's survival challenges encourage teamwork and self education to complete goals and challenges. We believe being a part of a team is part of enjoying the fantastic, fun adventures that the wilderness of the High Sierra’s has to offer. Nature is our living classroom and the more children are exposed to it the more they appreciate the natural environment.
Kids with physical disabilities are typical, many love the great outdoors like their able-bodies peers. The funding the Stephen J Wampler Foundation from grants, private donations and corporations, Camp Wamp provides an experience that any child would love to have. Camp Wamp introduces the outdoors of the High Sierra’s to our campers called "Camp Wampers" who fall in love with the joys of nature and being in the wilderness.
MAKE YOUR DISABILITY IRRELEVANT. ROCK ON KID! Camp Wamp's mission: "To provide life changing outdoor educational experiences to physically disabled children."
Camp Wamp's mission is “to provide life changing outdoor educational experiences to physically disabled children." Camp Wamp located in North Lake Tahoe in the High Sierras provides the opportunities and inspiration for some of these children to go onto college, have a family and live a prosperous life. Camp Wamp is about encouraging teamwork where everyone is included to experience the outdoors and create lifetime memories.
