March 15, 2016 is the primary election in Illinois, People with Disabilities Accessibility Helpline!

Accessibility at polling places continues to be a major issue for many people with disabilities. If you experience access barriers at your polling place, please report it to Equip for Equality (EFE).

Again  EFE offers Voters with Disabilities a Statewide Helpline on Election Day, March 15, from 6 am to 7 pm. Keep the contact info with you when you go to vote: it’s 1-800-537-2632 (voice), 1-800-610-2779 (TTY) and by email it is voting@equipforequality.org.

Reporting access violations at polling places is a key way to make improvements; you should also know what is “reasonable” at polling places in Illinois (see this link).

Please visit Equip for Equality to find answers to many common questions about voting rights for people with disabilities: http://www.equipforequality.org/issues/voting/
