Clemolyn (PennieBrinson was a writer and performance artist. She was Access Living‘s first artist-in-residence (2008-2010). At Access Living she wrote, directed, produced and starred in a 45-minute stage production titled, “The Pennie Brinson Show” as well as facilitating a weekly writing group.
Pennie was born in Chicago and attended grade school and high school on Chicago’s West Side. She was the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Literary Award, freelanced as a journalist for Residents’ Journal and North Lawndale Community News. Her work is also published in Garland Court Review and the Journal of Ordinary Thought (JOT).
FEATURING: Momma Kemba, Micki Sisson, Susan Nussbaum, Chun-shan (Sandie) Yi, William Acevedo, Carrie Spitler and Mary Moran.
