Celebrate, Inspire, Move Others to Volunteer!
Volunteers contribute to the success of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We value and embrace their generous work, dedication and the priceless hours they contribute to every facet of the organization and to the thousands of people whose lives are affected by MS. Without our committed volunteers, we cannot fulfill the promise of our mission.

To our Chapter volunteers, in your honor we celebrate your contributions of time and passion toward creating a world free of MS for the 20,000 Illinoisans and their families living with MS. April 10 to 16, 2011 is National Volunteer Week, and we simply want to take this time to say: "Thank you!"

This is also a special time to recognize the energy that volunteers generate by being an example to others and motivating them to be part of the movement. We challenge you to encourage someone today to get involved. Share your stories so more people can be part of a rewarding volunteer experience. Send us an email, or talk to us on Facebook and Twitter.

And thanks again for all you do!

About National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week began in 1974 when President Richard Nixon signed an executive order establishing the week as an annual celebration of volunteering. Since then, every U.S. President has signed a proclamation promoting National Volunteer Week. Additionally, governors, mayors and other elected officials make public statements and sign proclamations in support of National Volunteer Week. Learn more>>>
