as shared from U.S. Department of State...
Greetings,
A few weeks ago many of you joined us for the first “Live At State” virtual town hall on the Disabilities Treaty – thank you. We have another exciting opportunity for engagement on disability rights tomorrow! (And apologies for any cross-postings of this event you may have received.)
Special Advisor for International Disability Rights Judith Heumann and Senior Advisor and former Olympic athlete Michelle Kwan will participate in a Google+ Hangout on “Going For Gold: Advancing International Disability Rights” at 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, December 5.
The Hangout will feature several U.S. Paralympic athletes who will speak about the opportunities offered by international training and competition for Paralympians, as well as some of the challenges they face.
During the Hangout, live-captioning will be available at: http://www.streamtext.net/ player?event= StateDeptGooglePlusHangout.
We hope you can join us tomorrow! Please feel free to forward this to other contacts.
Best Regards,
Nichole Allem
