Section 508 Best Practices Webinar: When ICT Meets Some But Not All of the Section 508 Standards (January 26) - POSTPONED

POSTPONED: Section 508 Best Practices Webinar (January 26)
The Section 508 Best Practices Webinar scheduled for January 26 at 1:00 (ET) has been postponed due to weather-related government closings. The webinar ("When ICT Meets Some But Not All of the Section 508 Standards") will be held at a later date.

The United States Access Board next webinar in the Section 508 Best Practices Webinar Series will take place January 26 from 1:00 to 2:30 (ET) and will discuss steps to take when no product is available that fully meets all applicable Section 508 requirements. In this instance, the Section 508 Standards, which are part of the federal acquisition regulations, require federal agencies to procure the product that is most compliant. Section 508 officials from various agencies will share their experiences, recommend procedures to follow, and address topics such as identifying potential work-arounds and negotiating improved conformance.

The Section 508 Best Practices Webinar Series provides helpful information and best practices for federal agencies in meeting their obligations under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act which ensures access to electronic and information technology in the federal sector. This webinar series is made available by the Accessibility Community of Practice of the CIO Council in partnership with the U.S. Access Board.
