Illinois In-Home Services are vital: Please call Gov Quinn - Mon Feb 11, 2011 - ALERT

We're joining with our friends at ADAPT in asking you to take a moment now, today, to advocate for in-home services (HSP).

Last week we sent an email asking you to contact your legislators, asking them to provide supplemental funding for in-home services. The budget that would provide those services is going to Governor Quinn, and it's up to him to approve it. Please contact Governor Quinn by telephone and leave a message asking him to keep funding for HSP at a level that would allow for its continued growth with no reductions.

In-home services support independence and support jobs in Illinois.

When you call, you will need to give your name and the city where you live. That information tells the governor's staff that you are serious and that you live in the state.

The governor releases his state budget proposal March 6. Please help make sure the budget for the HOME SERVICES PROGRAM is well funded.
Please call Gov. Quinn Monday Feb. 11 in either
Springfield

Phone: 217-782-0244
TTY: 888-261-3336

I expect your upcoming FY-14 budget to fund HSP at a level that will allow for its continued growth, with no cutbacks of any kind.”
