SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Shouts of “common sense” and “freedom now” echoed through the lobby of the Illinois Capitol Building Tuesday as a crowd of about 300 people held a rally in the name of protesting budget cuts for independent living centers in Illinois. Around 25 members representing PACE Center for Independent Living in Urbana were among the crowd, fighting for the funding they believe is unfairly being taken away. - read full article-
