Webinar April 27: on what everyone should know about the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) - RSVP

as posted from The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights/The Leadership Conference Education Fund.

Background:  In December 2015, the nation’s most important K-12 education law was updated when President Obama signed the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Congress passed ESSA after civil rights organizations – and activists like you – advocated for the inclusion of civil rights priorities in the law in order to protect all students.

As states and school districts develop plans to implement ESSA, we must ensure that these plans drive toward equity and are inclusive of students, parents, and communities in decision-making at every level.

Join The Leadership Conference Education Fund/The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights for a webinar on Wednesday, April 27, at 1:00 p.m. ET. We will provide an overview of the law, discuss how it addresses key civil rights principles, and share ways that you can be involved to advance equity in its implementation.
