Town Hall on Chicago Public Schools 2015/2016 Special Education Budget Cuts - Oct. 6th

CPS is cutting more special education teachers and special education aides from 164 schools. Due to the cuts, special education students will continue to suffer in CPS schools. They face a high unemployment rate and also extreme incarceration rates in the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). Students with disabilities must have adequate resources to not only excel in school, but also gain the necessary skills needed to gain employment and stay out of trouble

Join us for a Town Hall and learn about the impacts of the cuts to special education. You will also have the opportunity to speak out against the current cuts and its impact on students, parents, teachers, etc.
