Chicago 2015 Senior Games! September 9-25 citywide

Senior Games

The Chicago Park District invites active seniors to participate in Senior Games 2015, September 9-25 at various citywide parks. 

Festivities kick off Wednesday, September 9 at 10 a.m. with opening ceremonies at the Cancer Survivors Pavilion in Maggie Daley Park, 337 E. Randolph St.  Athletes will partake in the ceremonial lighting of the cauldron, yoga and a fun walk. 
The sporting competitions and leisure activities take place at various Chicago Park District sites and include track and field, horseshoes, shuffleboard, lawn bowling, basketball, bowling, swimming, line dancing, golf and much more.
The games close Friday, September 25 with an awards ceremony at South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Dr.

An outing to U.S. Cellular Field for a Chicago White Sox game will take place on Sunday, September 13 at 1:10 pm
Seniors who are residents of the City of Chicago, more than 55 years old and are in good physical health are encouraged to register.

The $25 registration fee includes:
- Opening and Closing Ceremonies with a participant meal
- Opportunity to participate in all the events offered
- White Sox Game ticket Senior Games outing
- Senior Games T-shirt
- Senior Games participation ribbon 
- Surprise if packets are picked up at Opening Ceremonies
