Illinois “Revenue and Rights” people with Disabilities RALLY - April 9th - Thompson Center in Chicago

SAVE THE DATE!  April 9, from 12 noon to 1 pm, Access Living is coordinating a “Revenue and Rights” people’s rally at the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago, at 100 W. Randolph.
Come on out to hear people speak about the budget cuts, perform poetry, and more.  If you or your group want to be part of the rally, please contact Adam Ballard at (312) 640-2195 or aballard@accessliving.org.  We need as many people to come as possible to show the state that WE MEAN BUSINESS!  Bring a poster or sign that says why you want to stop the cuts.

The Rally is being coordinated by Access Living https://www.accessliving.org/

Remember, the proposed budget cuts will be DEVASTATING! Some of you have asked for the numbers again so here is just a snapshot:
10,000 people with disabilities terminated from the Home Services Program
36,000 seniors denied homemaker services in the Community Care Program
16,533 people with serious mental illness will lose services and supports
21,100 people with epilepsy will lose services
•    11,208 kids ages 0-3 will lose Early Intervention services
1,798 people with intellectual/developmental disabilities will lose respite services for their family members
