News Release | Apr 08, 2015

Together we can create the healthiest nation in one generation. National Public Health Week 2015. As the nation’s public health agency, CDC works 24/7 to improve the health of the nation. During National Public Health Week (NPHW), APHA and CDC continue to work towards the mission of Healthiest Generation 2030.
CDC’s web and social media channels, including CDC.gov@CDCgov exit disclaimer@DrFrieden exit disclaimer, and CDC Facebook exit disclaimer will spotlight public health each day, in support of this year’s National Public Health Week daily themes exit disclaimer.
Beginning on April 6, CDC’s social media profiles will be posting a few ways CDC is working in support of the #NPHW daily themes — Raising the Grade, Start from Zip, Build Momentum, Build Broader Connections, and Build on 20 Years of Success.
For example, for the Friday #NPHW theme, Build on 20 Years of Success@CDCgov exit disclaimer will tweet a link to CDC’s top ten public health achievements in the 20th Century, which reminds us of how far we have come, how we got there, and what we need to do to create a healthier nation.
CDC.gov homepage will promote National Public Health Week with a feature article that will highlight the daily themes, and link to information from across CDC’s Centers — highlighting diseases & conditions, tips for healthy living, workplace safety and health, and building broader communities and partnerships.
