Date:  Friday, March 20, 2015
Time:  3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT (12:00 -1:00 P.M. Pacific)
Register here! On Friday, March 20 from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. EDT, the Children’s Leadership Council will host a webinar titled, “Budgets are a Children’s Issue.”
As the new Congress gets underway, programs that benefit children and youth of all ages, including Social Security, Medicaid, CHIP and SNAP face considerable and substantial threats. And unless Congress acts, spending cuts, otherwise known as the sequester, will come back in FY 2016 further limiting funding available for children and youth programs for many years to come. This hour-long webinar will discuss: emerging budget and tax proposals in Congress that will impact children, youth, and their families; why advocates who care about them should care about what happens in Congress; and how advocates can get engaged going forward.
Join this webinar to learn how you can stand with the CLC and make sure our nation’s babies, infants, toddlers, children and youth all have their needs represented and spoken for during this critical time.
There will be time for questions at the end of the webinar. To rsvp for the webinar, please click here.

 * The Children's Leadership Council thanks the Food Research and Action Center for hosting the webinar.
