Celebrate the Anniversary of the Olmstead Court Decision with a Video of Your Personal Story - Deadline March 31, 2014

The U.S. Department of Justice is asking people with disabilities, their families, friends and advocates to send in videos celebrating the 15th anniversary of the groundbreaking Supreme Court decision in Olmstead v. L.C. Help us celebrate by sending in a short video (five minutes or less), along with a signed release form, describing your personal story about how Olmstead has positively affected your life or the life of someone you know. 

Read the flyer for more information and where to send your video. (Flyer and release form open PDF and Word documents.) The deadline to send in your video is March 31, 2014.

Olmstead Anniversary Video

The 15th Anniversary of the groundbreaking Supreme Court decision in Olmstead v. L.C. is coming up this June. To commemorate the anniversary, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is planning to develop a short compilation video highlighting individuals with disabilities who have benefited from Olmstead. DOJ is seeking video profiles for use in the compilation video. Instructions for submitting a video are as follows:
  • DOJ will review all videos received by March 31, 2014, and will include portions of some of the videos we receive in the final video compilation.
  • Submit a signed consent form attached as separate document (see below).
  • Send your video on a USB drive, labeled clearly with your name, city, state, and contact number (optional) to the following address:
