Aortic valve stenosis occurs when the heart's aortic valve narrows. This narrowing forces the heart to work harder to pump blood. Eventually, this extra work weakens the heart and if left untreated, can lead to serious heart problems. The Rush Valve Clinic draws on the resources of a top academic medical center as well as our wide breadth of experience in surgical and interventional approaches to addressing diseases of the aortic, mitral and pulmonary valves. Join the physicians from Rush to learn more about research and treatment options for aortic valve stenosis. Because space is limited, registration is required.

  1. Sometimes it is easy for us to take for granted our access to even basic medical care in the United States. We enjoy the luxury of even simple medical care like pain medicine and Neosporine as well as the ability to get casts for broken limbs and stitches for gaping wounds.
