ADAPT FUN RUN for Disability Rights May 14, 2017

Join the ADAPT Community to raise funds to support the
Disability Integration Act! campaign
Sunday, May 14th 2017, 1 – 4 p.m
Upper Senate Park Washington, DC

The FUN RUN for Disability Rights, is hosted by ADAPT.

How to Support ADAPT'S NATIONAL FUN RUN:

  • Go to www.adaptfunrun.net

  • REGISTER – Select the FUN RUN in Washington, DC. You will be asked which organization you want to support.

  • You will also be asked if you will walk, run, roll, or jog. This is for folks who will be in DC on May 14th for the event.

  • For those of you who can’t be in DC, there is an option called a VIRTUAL Runner. A VIRTUAL Runner asks for Sponsorship but says you won’t be running.

  • After you finish registering you will receive your own personal link. This link is your request for Sponsorship. When people click on your link, it takes you to a screen with your personal message asking people to sponsor you. To Recruit Sponsors, you either send a note with this link to your e-mail address book or paste the link into your social media like Facebook, or both.

  • This link will be found on the registered runner’s Dashboard at the “Recruiting Sponsors” tab. Here is Bob Kafka’s personal link from a few years ago as an example of what a link looks like: http://adaptfunrun.net/runner/message/17

  • Each time a pledge is made for you, the registered FUN RUNNER, you will receive an e-mail telling you about the pledge acknowledging their support.

  • For accountability, when you the FUN RUNNER logs into your Dashboard, there will be a “Reports” tab that will have your “Individual” information on all the people that have sponsored you and if the sponsor has paid. In addition, there is an “Organization” report that lists all the other people registered and how much they have raised (totals but not their individual sponsors).

  • All the sponsor information is private. ADAPT will not use this information for any future fundraising or any other purpose. This information is solely for you.

  • Approximately a week after the FUN RUN is over, ADAPT will send out an e-mail bill for those who have not previously paid.
