Special Olympics Illinois 2016 Chicago Super Plunge - Feb 19 to Feb 20

Think You Have What it Takes to SUPER Plunge?

Over a 24-hour period, our truly elite Plungers will take 24 icy dips (once an hour, every hour) into Lake Michigan as part of the SUPER Plunge to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. All SUPER Plungers and their sidekick/support person will live in a heated tent on the beach during this fun, round-the-clock event. 2016 also marks the 11th year for this extreme plunging event!
Anyone who is ready to “be bold and get cold” can be a SUPER Plunger! Past participants include students, law enforcement officers, firefighters, teachers and various business professionals. Each SUPER Plunger is asked to raise a minimum of $2,500 to participate in this extreme event.
The Polar Plunge, presented by Law Enforcement Torch Run and GEICO, is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a flying leap – a leap into the frigid waters of Lake Michigan.
