We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2013 Outstanding Ally Award, who will be honored at the Autistic Self Advocacy Network’s third annual gala and celebration at the National Press Club this November.

Anne Donnallan
Dr. Anne Donnellan is a nationally recognized advocate against restraint, seclusion, and aversives. She has been a vocal proponent of community integration and inclusive education, and has been an ardent opponent of abusive interventions for decades. For over two decades, Anne's scholarly work has focused on repositioning autism as another way of living, and understanding sensory and movement differences in autistic people, in keeping with the principles of neurodiversity. She is currently a professor in the School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego, where she founded and directed the Autism Institute.
Please join us in celebrating Anne's accomplishments and honoring her embodiment of the principles of the disability rights movement. In addition, learn more about our other honoree, Henry Frost, who will be receiving the 2013 Award for Service to the Self-Advocacy Movement.
Join us for a special celebration and fundraising event at
The National Press Club in Washington, DC
Dinner and dessert will be served and a reception will precede dinner.

Proceeds will support our advocacy work and programs for the coming year, and will allow us to continue working to empower disabled people across the country.
