AT Works Series: Accessible Technology's Impact on the Employment of People with Cognitive and Developmental Disabilities

Live webinar to take place on Thursday, August 2nd at 2:00pm EST

ODEP's Accessible Technology in the Workplace Initiative promotes the accessibility of workplace technology as a means to increasing the hiring, retention and advancement of people with disabilities in the public and private sector. The "AT Works" online educational series is part of this effort. ODEP will be hosting a series of free webcasts and webinars over the next several months to explore the connection between emerging technologies and the employment of people with disabilities.

Next in the series is a live webinar on Accessible Technology's Impact on the Employment of People with Cognitive and Developmental Disabilities. Presenters will address the current state of accessible technology for those with cognitive and developmental disabilities, as well as provide examples of the current and future use of these technologies in the workplace. Details are as follows:

What: A live webinar moderated by Kathleen Martinez, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy. Presenters include Ari Ne'eman President and Co-founder, Autistic Self Advocacy Network and Adam Anicich, Acting Director, Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs' Liaison Service, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

When: Thursday, August 2nd from 2:00pm-3:00pm EST.
Presentation slides will be provided prior to the webinar, and an archived version of the slides will be made available after the event.
