Free 'bully' prevention program offered by Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living -May 10, 2012 | La Salle, IL

The Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living and Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center will present the free, informational session "Is Your Child A Target of Bullying? Intervention Strategies for Parents of Children with Disabilities."

The program will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday May 10, at the Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living, 18 Gunia Drive, La Salle. Attendees will learn the signs of bullying, effective interventions, how to address bullying in the Individual Education Plan and how to document harassment incidents.

Two and a half Continuing Professional Development Units will be available for educators, and certificates of attendance also will be available.
