Founded in 1973, The Chicago Lighthouse Deaf-Blind Program is the only outreach and support program in Illinois for adults with deaf-blindness. Its extensive list of programs includes crisis intervention, communications enhancement, technology, life-skills training and referrals to needed resources. The Mark of Distinction grant would support communications and technology training that enhances the quality of life for people with deaf-blindness.
