Pace ADA Paratransit Customer Bill of Rights

As an ADA Pace Paratransit customer, you have the right to:

*Be picked up on time within a 20-minute window
*Be transported in a safe manner
*Be treated with courtesy and respect
*Travel in a clean, well maintained vehicle
*Reserve trips from one day in advance of the desired travel date
*Be heard and expect Pace to investigate, address, and resolve concerns or complaints
*Have calls answered promptly and courteously
*Receive quality transportation services that are equivalent to those offered on fixed route service

What is Pace ADA Paratransit Service?

Pace ADA Paratransit is a service of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), and is the region's paratransit service in accordance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). Pace ADA Service is a shared ride transit service, for people who are unable to use fixed route public transportation due to their disability (Shared ride means that multiple passengers may ride together in the same vehicle). The service provides daily trips throughout the City of Chicago as well as suburban (limited areas). Rides are offered in the same service areas, and during the same hours of operation as the fixed route.

Pace ADA Paratransit Service Requirements

To be eligible for Pace Paratransit Service, you must:

Have a disability as defined by the ADA
Be unable, as a result of your disability, to utilize fixed-route transportation
Be unable to travel to or from a bus stop or rail station due to a disability
