The ChicagoRehabilitation, Clinical and Research Services | The Chicago Lighthouse for People who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Rehabilitation, Clinical and Research Services The Chicago Lighthouse (link) The Chicago Lighthouse’s rehabilitation, clinical and research services are striving to better meet the needs of people experiencing vision loss by expanding the breadth of services offered. Our concept of comprehensive low vision services of the 21st century is a multidisciplinary one. In this model, the patient benefits from the input of the low vision optometrist and ophthalmologist working with other professionals including an occupational therapist, rehabilitation therapist, a psychologist and a social worker. In addition, the team engages in cutting edge research to develop new methods of vision rehabilitation. It is important for us to be involved in research, and thus contribute to the field of rehabilitation to be perceived as a leader.
